get yourself a stanton str8-150 with detachable rca's! No soldering required!lol! But yer just replace the rca's they sometimes get bent and misshaped under use.

Soldering is VERY easy. Buy an iron and a roll of solder from radio shack. You're after a 15 watt iron and rub core out solder. 0.035 (0.5mm) or similar coat on the solder. Thinner solder allows you to act the joint cooler and solder it a bit faster before anything can melt if you're doing up a RCA end. The process is very simple. Touch tip to joint you're soldering. Allow a couple seconds to heat up touch solder to joint allow it to move Don't put too much into the joint or get it too hot you wouldn't wanna melt anything too badly. Another solution to this issue would be to upgrade to a exceed be. Ditch the Gemini(s) after you fix this and have some cash saved up.
^^they're actually great technics alternatives(i own one)only complaint is the built material for the cabinet..(wish it could have the aluminum diecast cabinet like the 1200s
To get te crap out or off of your connections (as I say crap I mean the plugs) just take a needle nose plier and gently pull/twist it out/off.
Monster cables are a ripoff and are outperformed by cables 1/10 of their price. And they won't guarantee a cable that has been modified for the sole purpose to fit a TT. You be real cable quality for your $ ? Get AudioQuest cables.
no worries man. It's the sad truth. I did a lot of side to side comparisons with high end cables at a friends' hifi shop. it turned out Monster is garbage seriously. beat moment: we tried a $250 monster rca cable against a $40 Profigold Rca cable. The result was a valuable lesson on how to save 200 and 10 bucks... I use AudioQuest cables. ( CopperHead for interconnects and StarQuad CV4 for speakers) they're quite expensive but you get some quality for your hard earned cash. And they should last for quite some time..
